"Well, if passion can lead to prayer
Maybe prayer can give us faith
And if faith is all we've got
Then maybe faith is all we need"
Rich Mullins
I know that a Rich Mullins verse dates me.
Get over it - I'm dated
Get over it - I'm dated
Though seasoned, these lines are no less true today
Passion should move you to something
Whether that passion leads you to something small
or
something big
Good, bad, or indifferent - passion will lead to something
That something becomes a purpose
Passion without purpose is posing - and eventually - annoying
James 2:14 (The Message)
Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
You're passionate...
Great
Do something with it
That way passion is more than a playlist on your commute...
It's the soundtrack to the God-purposed adventure of your life
