"You sir, have the butt of a monkey." - this is what I've been saying to my nephew for many years. Translated it means - there is no way I will ever be able to express to you that you are my hero.
Over a decade ago, on Christmas Eve, my nephew received a heart transplant
Today he laid flat and still in the hospital after going through an annual heart cath
All good. All good.
5'8"
127 lbs.
Singing Lady Gaga, Queen, and Ozzy Osbourne out loud (really need to talk with him about music preferences...) - not really caring if anyone heard him or not
12 Chicken Nuggets and a order and a half of french fries (never have figured out how a Children's Hospital condones a McDonald's in the lobby) - and still hungry
Making everyone in the hospital laugh...hard
Enjoying every heartbeat like it was a gift
This is why he is my hero
This is what I hope I'm learning from him
God is always moving through our lives
Whether we understand His ways or not
Always moving
That is what Senor Monkey Butt taught me today
We walk everyday in the shadows of amazing...
Sometimes we even notice it
